AUL RENTAL PLATFORM

Simplifying
Property Rentals

The car rental industry is evolving, with users expecting a seamless digital experience that simplifies their journey from selecting a vehicle to completing their rental. However, many platforms struggle with inconsistent interfaces, fragmented user experiences, and a lack of standardization across multiple touchpoints.

As a Senior UX Researcher and UX/UI Designer, I was tasked with redesigning the entire rental platform to improve usability, efficiency, and accessibility. This transformation required not only a user-friendly interface but also a scalable Design System and a structured UX process to align design efforts across teams.

THE CHALLENGE

Finding a rental property should be simple, yet tenants often struggle with outdated listings, poor communication, and confusing processes. Landlords face challenges managing applications and verifying reliable tenants. The challenge: How might we create a seamless, trustworthy platform for renters and landlords alike

New UX Architecture

Creating a New Sitemap & Information Hierarchy

Before diving into UI design, it was essential to redesign the UX architecture to create a more intuitive and structured user flow.

THE DESIGN PROCESS

With a strong UX foundation in place, I moved into the design phase, ensuring that each element was aligned with both usability goals and brand consistency.

Implementing a Complete UX Process

To establish a structured approach to design and development, I introduced a standardized UX workflow:

Reusable UI Components

Cross-Platform Responsiveness

Optimizing Vehicle Selection & Customization

To enhance the rental process, I redesigned the vehicle selection and customization experience by:
