UX Strategy & Scalable Design

Transforming Online Education Through

In today’s fast-evolving digital landscape, eLearning platforms must deliver engaging, intuitive, and scalable learning experiences to accommodate diverse user needs. At HemisferioD, I led the UX research, product development, and design system implementation for an innovative eLearning platform aimed at enhancing digital education accessibility and usability.

The project required not just an aesthetically pleasing UI but a deeply structured UX process, ensuring user-centric learning experiences, scalability, and seamless developer handoff.

THE CHALLENGE

Building an eLearning platform goes beyond designing interfaces—it requires a well-defined UX process that integrates research, usability testing, and scalable UI components. The main challenges included:

Research & Insights

COMPETITORS
BENCHMARKING
ANALYSIS

Identified gaps in competitors’ designs, focusing on content navigation, progress tracking, and accessibility improvements.

THE DESIGN PROCESS

Using the research insights, I structured the design process around usability, consistency, and scalability:

Creating a Design System for Long-Term Scalability

Developed a comprehensive Design System, UI Kit, and Component Library, ensuring a unified and scalable approach for the platform.

Documented typography, color palettes, button styles, and interactive components to maintain brand consistency.

Prototyping & UX Enhancements

Built low, mid, and high-fidelity prototypes to test learning interactions before development.

Integrated interactive dashboards, progress tracking features, and discussion forums to boost engagement.

Ensuring Seamless Developer Handoff

Provided detailed UX documentation for smooth collaboration between designers, developers, and stakeholders.

OUTCOME

The new UX architecture, navigation, and design system significantly improved both user experience and operational efficiency:

40%

Improved user retention

through a more engaging and intuitive learning experience.

35%

Reduced educator workload

by streamlining course management tools.

100%

A scalable Design SysteM

allowing for faster updates and consistent UI improvements.

87%

Higher student engagement

with better progress tracking and personalized learning recommendations.
