Enhancing Yape Marketplace
A Seamless Experience for Buyers & Sellers
Yape, a leading digital wallet platform, aimed to expand its ecosystem by integrating a peer-to-peer (P2P) marketplace, allowing users to buy and sell products and services seamlessly within the app. However, introducing a marketplace within an existing financial platform posed challenges in UX architecture, navigation, and user trust.
As a Senior UX Designer & Researcher, I led the effort to design a scalable and intuitive marketplace experience, ensuring that users could easily list, discover, and purchase items while maintaining security and ease of use. The project involved in-depth research, user testing, and a complete UX/UI overhaul, culminating in a marketplace that felt native, engaging, and frictionless.
